Pokémon GO accident – Pikachu head injury!

We must warn you – if you are not a total Pokémon GO fan, you will have trouble watching this tutorial with the sound on.

In this episode we create yet another super simple effect with a styrofoam ball and some fake blood. The fun thing with sfx makeup looks like this is that they are extremely easy to recreate. Almost anyone can make these kids of effects look good. So get yourself a nice reference image of Pikachu from the Pokémon GO universe, and you’re good to go!

We got the styrofoam ball in a crafts store and we’re pretty sure you can find them pretty easy. If not, you can always create the ball using aluminium foil. Just make sure to pack it tightly to get the surface texture as smooth as possible. And instead of tape you can of course paint the black lines on the Poké ball.
