I am having trouble making my teeth, the plastic does not stay soft for very long but I will keep trying. Also hard to not make them to thick. You guys make it look so easy ,that shows how good you are

I'm really confused on what supergule to use. I know the video says "only use cyanocrylate based supergule", but i literally typed that in on google and couldn't figure out which one was the right one. I tried looking at this video probably a million times to pause it when the supergule is showen but your thumb is covering the name so I can't figure out which one it is. Can you maybe name the one you used or one thats similar to it and safe to use ?

Trying to get started into Sfxs. I've done a lot of latex looks and such I was curious in if you knew about any cheap body paints? It seems like oil is normally the cheapest but I really would rather have alcohol activated. Have any ideas?
    • Ditto

Alcohol activated paints are really expensive, and as far as I know there aren't many cheap alternatives on the market. Grease paints can be really good for small areas/details/blending/etc, not so great for a complete face (though they can be good if you're going for a specific type of look and know how to use them), but there are a few nicer products for cheaper prices. Personally I would recommend water activated paints, you can find good quality paints for a fairly cheap price (I would recommend the brand Mehron, their paradise paints are wonderful, a bit expensive, depending on your price range, but overall worth it), they're good for longer wear and won't rub off on anything, and they're good for painting larger areas on the body, a little bit of paint can go a long way. Hope this was helpful!

where do you get the polymorph plastic from? I used to get it at radio shack buuut that's not around anymore. :(
  29. Hello Elli and Macs! I hope you'll see my comment. First of all, I'd like to say that you are doing a very very good job! Thank you for all the tutorials! Well, I have a problem. I bought a polymorph plastic but when I melt it in the water it becomes a honey-like mass, it sticks to a bowl and to my fingers. Am I doing something wrong or I just bought a wrong plastic? Thank you!
    • +ellimacs sfx makeup thank you for your response! Actually I tried to heat it little by little but still, when it's melted it's like a bad quality gum that sticks to everything and can't shape it in anything =(

I really enjoy the Swedish lessons you add, after you tell us the lesson you should only say that word in Swedish after that. Like if the plastic gets too hard dip it back in the vatten to soften it up again. That way we get to see the word in action. :) Great tutorial as usual.

Can't you attach the teeth with really tiny bits of flattened plastic? I feel like that would be a strong hold in case you were still weary of the glue. Have you tried that's before?

+ellimacs sfx makeup ooo ok! Thank you for clearing that up!

Well then there's a risk you'd end up with plastic pieces coming lose in your mouth. The plastic isn't sticky at all.

+AsylumFreak19 62 Degrees Celsius, or about 140 degrees Fahrenheit. I just boil mine for a couple seconds and it works just fine. The hotter the water, the faster it melts. But be careful.

Maybe try getting a sports mouth piece from wal mart and use resin teeth or fake nails or teeth. Enamel color to color it and super glue for sticking. I haven't tried it but I saw your comment and figured there had to be another way :)
