Could I use a gelatin based gel to make the wounds instead of latex and still adhere the metal spoon with it? Or does the spoon need to be stuck to the skin with latex? Do you use a dryer on the latex between layers to speed up the process? Thanks.

Not bad, there's some good detail and creativity. I'm left to wonder though... perhaps when doing the eye piece instead of putting the light on top of the cotton it would look better if you reserved a small hole to put the light in and develop a little more detail around the eye socket itself or if you could do a pre-made eye piece using mold/gelatin technique and stick the LED into the eye socket while developing 3D effects to the lower portions before attaching it. Also instead of just painting areas black draw out some details such as veins, cyborg parts, etc then attach whatever other pieces to fully sculpt it out. I mean, I get the idea that some of those details might not show up in the final product and if your in a dark area, forget about it but it's the little details that separate the pros from the amateurs.Still, very well done for a low tech project. Good work (y)

I think it's the same as our glycerine, though you can also use KY which tends to keep the shine going a little longer.
