You think this would work if we did it directly on the face ? I don't have a face cast 😕 -Btw loooveee your videos ❤️❤️
    • Nicola Fears

Giselle . A cheat way to do it without a face cast is tinfoil and masking tape Make the tinfoil into a sausage shape and then press it against your jaw so it covers it Once you have the shape you want use the masking tape and make a smooth surface then that can be used with latex and flour or anything else to build up a good jaw piece. ^-^ hope that helps

It's cool And all, but I am allergic to latex
    • Nicola Fears

Psycho Kids you can use silicone rubber which is a very good alternative to latex or if it's small wounds etc you can use makeup wax which you can get from snazaroo which is cheaper than the silicone Oh and unflavoured gelatin mixed with a little bit of glycerine makes really good prothestics :3 hope this helps :D

Hi Elli & Macs i just wan't to ash where i can buy some of liquid latex and fake blood and can you tell me how much that liquid latex and fake blood
    • Wonder Wolf

You can buy both at Halloween stores or from Ben and Nye. Since its not Halloween most of the stores won't carry much SFX supplies, so you will have to order it online. https://camerareadycosmetics.com/collections/ben-nye/products/ben-nye-liquid-latex?variant=22334465095 You can buy latex in all kinds of sizes ranging from $7 to $38. https://camerareadycosmetics.com/collections/ben-nye/products/ben-nye-fresh-scab There is a lot of different kids of fake blood, but I would recommend scab blood. It ranges from $6 to $38 and it comes in multiple different sizes.

+fluffy bunnies No probs. :) You could swing by the craft store and buy a foam head. It's basically the same thing. (Aka Wig head) http://www.michaels.com/floracraft-wig-head/10315631.html#q=foam+head&start=2

    • Wonder Wolf

No, because the latex paste takes twenty four hours to dry. That means you'd have to keep in on your face for twenty four hours.

Is there a ratio of latex to flour? I found it very hard to work with. I couldn't smooth it out as easy as the video.
    • Seanie Campbell

Emmaarrr what did you use to 'protect' the cast after it had dried? I used wood glue. but it peeled off with the prosthetic. but I'll try again!
    • Emmaarrr

Seanie Campbel , no didn't have this problem. Powdered the mask as I removed it and before putting the paste on I put a small layer of normal latex on too. The mask came out beautifully. Just doing another one (1. I had so much fun making the first. 2. Just in case anything goes wrong during application)
    • Seanie Campbell

Emmaarrr as for the cast, when I removed the prosthetic from the first attempt, it took the dried wood glue from the cast with it. did you have this problem.

Seanie Campbell had another go tonight. And if you add small amounts of flour and then mix, and keep adding til it's a smooth dough texture it's the easiest thing to work with. Hopefully it removes from my cast, and isn't rigid but will give updates on it after Friday night! But Im really happy with what I've created especially in comparison to the first attempt, but that removed easy and didn't seem like it would flex with face movement. Hopefully that won't be the case with this new attempt!
