Yes! back when this was on tv, I was in elementary school and I was a visitor for halloween. my mom helped me make the outfit (I drew the symbols for patches) and I had a ripped chunk off my arm and chin and I won the Halloween contest ..this is great ..

Also, I remember that was the 1st time a lot of people ever saw freddy Krueger without the iconic makeup, and they made his character so nice and empathetic, he was one of the 'nice ones'..

Yes mine too! It's funny though, going back and watching it now..at the time, it was all "hi tech"-but now there's the awesome 80s cheese all over it, and the parts where they have shoot outs with the visitors: hide behind a stack of cardboard boxes and are perfectly safe from laser weapons that vaporize people !- hahaha

Am I right in remembering that In another one of your more recent videos you add flour to the latex when you're building the thicker pieces? How does that effect the stability of the latex? Do you get pockets of powder in the prosthetic?

What kind of clay are you using? Will regular Polymer clay work? I'm going to use a similar process to make dragon chest pieces and I can't find a good answer for that online.

well i like glam and gore alot because she is really funny and she does the same with her videos in the beginning. She is doing a disney princess series right now that your niece might like. I feel like I can relate to her more than ellimac.

+Heidi Pharo well sculpt gel is hard to get. And I'm planning to do this as my first SFX makeup on my friend tomorrow night. I think I'll be fine.
    • Heidi Pharo

+theflipsidegamez :D Sculpt gel is easier and less messy but tissue and latex is another good alternative. You just layer latex and tissue, let it dry and make the edge flappy by pulling it gently off the skin. I haven't tried cotton and latex but it sounds messy af. Imagine all those little fibres piling together in the latex.

Gelatin (plain and unflavoured) would probably work as well as liquid latex and you could use cotton or tissue instead of sculpt gel

  65. I thought sculpt gel were for nails under UV light?? :) Thank you for the videos! You do a great job!
  66. I want to create this for a Halloween party but I have 2 questions... I'm using cotton pads and latex for the flappy skin but how do I blend the edges out? and is the paint you use face paint?
    • thanks that's fantastic!
    • Faith Barcelo

+lalalalala lilililili you can blend out the edges by brushing on more latex sans cotton over the edge where you want it to blend in to the skin. They usually use grease paints in their videos, which are long lasting, safe for your skin, and don't dry and crack as easily as water activated ones. Hope that helps!
